  • Government Holding (Private) Limited: Represented Government Holding (Private) Limited against Federal Board of Revenue in Writ Petition filed before the Honourable Islamabad High Court in respect of “Zero rating on locally produced Petroleum Crude Oil.”
  • OMV Pakistan Exploration and OMV Maurice Energy: Represented OMV Pakistan Exploration and OMV Maurice against Federal Board of Revenue in Writ Petition filed before the Honourable Islamabad High Court in respect of “Zero rating on locally produced Petroleum Crude Oil.”
  • Interstate Gas Systems (Private) Limited: Advised Interstate Gas Systems (Private) Limited on the implications that may arise while importing Natural Gas from Iran through Iran Pakistan Gas Pipeline in the light of United Nation Sanctions imposed on Iran.
  • Directorate General Petroleum Concessions: Submitted a detailed plan to Directorate General Petroleum Concessions for implementing the 18th Amendment to the constitution which amended Article 172 of the constitution. The said amendment gave ownership rights in Minerals, Oil and Natural Gas to both the Federal Government and the province from where the discovery will be made. Earlier it was the Federal Government who had ownership rights on the Minerals, Oil and Natural Gas. The plan included the amendments to all the existing laws regulating minerals, Oil and Natural Gas and also provided framework for the relationship between the Federal Government and the Provincial Governments.
  • Oil and Gas Development Company Limited: Advised Oil and Gas Development Company Limited on the implications arising out of breach of contract for sale of Liquefied Petroleum Gas committed by WAK Gas The contract was executed between Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Pakistan Oilfields Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited on the one part and WAK Gas Limited on the other part.
  • Oil and Gas Development Company Limited: Advised Oil and Gas Development Company Limited with regards to insurance of its property situated in Pakistan taking into consideration the fact that National Insurance Corporation incorporated through National Insurance Corporation Act, 1976 which had been given the task to insure public/government property had been converted into a public limited company under the companies ordinance, 1984.
  • Oil and Gas Development Company Limited: Advised Oil and Gas Development Company Limited on imposition of LPG Levy by the Federal Government through notification under section 3 of Petroleum Products (Petroleum Development Levy) Ordinance 1961 and the effect of suspension of notification by the Honourable Lahore High court.
  • Advised Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company on the legal implications arising out of a “litigation clause” inserted in a Tender Notice by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). The said clause restricted all the companies who had previously engaged OGDCL in Litigation from participating in any future tenders. Represented the company as a lead counsel in the Constitutional Petition before Hon’ble Lahore High court and challenged the clauses on the grounds that the clause had blacklisted the company and same was in violation of various provisions of constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan including Article 4, 18 and 25 of the Constitution. The said clause/condition was removed by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited unilaterally.
  • LPG Marketing Companies Association: Advised LPG Marketing Companies Association on imposition of Signature Bonus by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited. Represented numerous LPG Marketing Companies including Cress Gas (Pvt.) Limited, Ravi Gas (Pvt.) Limited, Noor Gas (Pvt.) Limited and Petroleum Gas (Pvt.) Ltd before the Honourable Lahore High Court. Levy of Signature Bonus was challenged on the ground that on imposition of Signature Bonus the price of LPG will cross the Saudi Aramco Contract Price fixed by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
  • Petrosin Corporation Pte and two others Versus Oil and Gas Development Company Limited. Justice (r) Abdul Shakoor Paracha decided the dispute between Petrosin Corporation Pte and two others with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited pertaining to the bidding of Tando Allay Yar Project and Sinjhoro Project where by lowest bid of Petrosin Pte was accepted but formal agreement was not entered into. It was held that Letter of Intent does not constitute a binding contract and the petitions filed by Petrosin Corporation pte and two others against Oil and Gas Development Company Limited were dismissed. The case is a reported judgment with citation as 2007 CLD 578.
  • Petrosin Corporation Pte Singapore: Acted as Lead Counsels for Petrosin Corporation Pte Singapore in Arbitration Proceedings relating to Qadirpur Expansion Project awarded by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited before the Sole Arbitrator.
  • Gregory and Cook: Advised Gregory and Cook an American company with regards to its recovery suit against Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and also represented Gregory and Cook before Islamabad High Court against Oil and Gas Development Company Limited.
